A method for adsorbing antimicrobial agents contained in a biological fluid by passing the fluid over an adsorbent filtering compound, wherein said compound is a completely binder-free activated carbon fibre-based fibrous textile material. An apparatus for carrying out the method includes sampling means and a duct (4) containing an activated carbon fibre-based fibrous material. The biological fluid contacts said material and, once purified, is collected in a container (9).
