The present invention relates to benzimidazole derivatives containing fused pyridines, expressed by formula (I), wherein its active ingredients may be used as effective anti-ulcerants through the mechanism of inhibiting gastric acid secretion in mammals, wherein: R represents hydrogen, halogen, C1-C3 alkoxy, C1-C3 haloalkoxy, C1-C3 alkyl or C1-C3 haloalkyl group; Q represents (a) or (b); X represents (c); R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5> and R<6> are the same or different, and each represents hydrogen, halogen, C1-C3 alkyl group; with a proviso that all hydrogen atoms are excluded.
