The turbine (T) is driven by a pair of 2-stroke piston motors (M) with free-piston pumps (P) and 2 pre-pressure pumps (5) providing pressurised water jets directed onto 2 half load turbine wheels. Each turbine wheel has a pair of jets arranged to provide pressure equalisation, the water pressure of 10 bar required for the free-piston pumps provided by the pre-pressure pumps, driven by the turbine in a closed circuit.
