The roller blind is made up from profiled slats (4) which are coupled so that they can hinge relative to one another. The ends of the slats run in guide rails (7). A locking rod (8) extends vertically from top to bottom in one of the guide rails. The side of the locking rod, which faces the slats, incorporates locking strips (12) which protrude beyond catch strips (20) which are mounted on the slats. The side of the locking rod which faces away from the blind carries wedge blocks (13) which have sloping edges along their tops. These edges engage with sloping edges of blocks (18) which are mounted on the rear face of the rail.
