The invention relates to a method for improving the pipetting accuracy in a mechanical or electrical pipette, as well as a pipette having improved pipetting accuracy. The improved pipetting accuracy is achieved by correcting the setting value of the pipette by a correcting factor corresponding to the temperature of the liquid to be pipetted, and possibly also of the pipette, the pipette point, the air in the pipette and/or the surroundings. Said temperatures are preferably measured by means of an NTC sensor. The pipette according to the invention is characterised in that it comprises an NTC resistor as part of its structure.
