The guide includes at least one optical fibre, and a curvilinear surface having a radius of curvature of approximately one and one-half inches. A holding device extends from the surface for holding the filamentary, medium in proximity to the curvilinear surface. A mounting device is located on the proximal end for mounting the guide to a filamentary medium bearing component. The component is an optical fibre connector and the mounting device comprises a split sleeve adapted to be an interference fit on the optical fibre connector. The component is an adapter collar for mounting on a panel and the mounting device comprises a locking member for the collar for locking the collar in place on the panel. |
