A hubcap (3) has a hub (7) with a number of spokes (9) attached around the edge, which has a front and rear (27, 29) with differing exterior. The spokes (9) can rotate around their length axle (13) by means of a mechanism present in the hub. This mechanism comprises a tooth edge (17), which is connected via a reduction-unit (19) to an electro-motor (21) and a number of conical cogs (15), which grip into the tooth edge (17) and are attached to the spokes (9). The hubcap (3) can also constitute an integrated part of a rim (23).<IMAGE>
