PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide affinity material in which carbon dioxide can be separated from high temperature combustion exhaust gas utilizing a chemical adsorption function at high temperature. SOLUTION: A porous ceramic carrier which has a basic oxide layer in its surface is formed to effect adsorption of carbon dioxide in a high temperature and water-vapor-existing atmosphere. The ceramic carrier is principally composed ofγ-alumina and the basic oxide layer is formed of one or more of a number of materials such as sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, lanthanum, praseodymium, or neodymium.
|
