<p>PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized light-weight optical printer having small number of components. CONSTITUTION: A print head 4 for writing an image with three primary color lights of RGB on a film reciprocates along a guide rod 9 by driving means in a subscanning direction. A light source having a single stripe-like light emitting unit 18 is provided at the base of the head, and a holder 21 having stripe- like filters R, G, B thereon is movable in the subscanning direction. The holder 21 is energized to the right by a spring 32, and a movable bearing 25 energized by a spring 28 is selectively engaged with three cutouts C1, C2 and C3 of the holder 21. When the head is moved and the part of the holder 21 is pushed in contact with the fixed contact part 33, the filters opposed to the emitting unit are sequentially switched. When the head is returned to the position (a), the support shaft 26 of the bearing 25 is inclined by a locking piece 34, the bearing 25 is removed from the cutout, and the holder 21 is returned to a predetermined position by the spring 32. The one emitting unit of the light source may be sufficient, and switching of the filter can be also used as a head driving mechanism.</p> |
