MINERAL CONCENTRATING BURNER FOR SELF-FLASH SMELTING FURNACE AND OPERATION USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To eliminate damage of a slope of a distributed cone and thereby to secure stable operation of a mineral concentrating burner by installing a gas port with a specific shape on an outer cylinder or an oxygen blowing pipe of a heavy oil burner. CONSTITUTION: In the mineral refining burner for a self-flash smelting furnace, the gas jetting port 12 is provided on the outer cylinder or the oxygen blowing pipe 11 of the heavy oil burner 2. When attaching position of the gas jetting port 12 is I(mm), length of the slope of the distributed cone 10 is L(mm) and tilt angle of the slope of the distributed cone 10 isβ(degree), minimum of the tilt angle (α0 ) of the gas jetting port 12 is set to the value obtained by the formula. Thus, generation of grooves on the slope of the distributed cone 10 by fine particles in two phase mixed air flow is prevented. Attaching position of the gas jetting port 12 (I) is set to about 249mm and the tilt angle of the gas jetting port 12 is set about 90 deg.. B using this mineral refining burner, operation of the flash smelting furnace can be stably continued.
