PURPOSE: To enable the thinning control of a cycle for smooth burning in a low-load area, which can be easily and surely applied. CONSTITUTION: A thinning control judging unit 34 makes a reference to a thinning condition map 35 and judges whether the target load, which is detected by an operating condition detecting unit 33, is low and exists within the predetermined cycle thinning area for thinning the fuel injection and the ignition or not on the basis of the engine load from the operating condition detecting unit 33 and the engine speed NE computed by an engine speed computing unit 31 as a parameter. In the case where the target load exists out of the cycle thinning area, the operation in the area, in which possibility of generation of misfire is eliminated, is judged, and the usual cycle operation is performed, and in the other hand, in the case where the target load exists in the cycle thinning area, fuel injection and ignition are set so that the thinning frequency thereof is reduced as the target load is higher with the predetermined formula, and these set fuel injection and the ignition are output to a fuel injection and ignition deciding unit 36 so as to operate a fuel injection system and an ignition system. |
