PURPOSE: To obtain a rubber roll of uniform quality by contriving uniform heating when a rubber roll material formed of a rubber material containing a foaming agent is expanded in a mold. CONSTITUTION: A rubber roll material 4 smaller than a rubber roll is formed, and set inside a tubular mold 12, with a core 2 inserted in a tube hole 4a. While end portions of the core are fitted into central holes 13d of closure molds 13 and thus retained, projected portions 13c are fitted into end portions of a tube hole 4a of the rubber roll material so that the outer peripheral surface of the core and the tube hole inner peripheral surface are axially disposed in a non- contact manner. During expansion due to the foaming of an foaming agent, air between the two peripheral surfaces is discharged to the outside, through the interfaces between the central holes and the core, and an air vent hole 13e. |
