PURPOSE: To improve a braking feeling through the easy realization of assist that increases/decreases braking to be increased according to the actual travel speed by constituting in such a way as to use pitching force, acting upon a body at the braking time, to assist braking. CONSTITUTION: During the travel of a vehicle, when the vehicle speed from a vehicle speed sensor 93 is not zero and a brake switch 91 is judged to be on, and when the press-down speed of a brake pedal 3 is larger than the reference value from the output of a pedal speed sensor 92, an ECU 9 turns on a solenoid valve 7 to make oil pressure act upon the pressure receiving part 5 of a braking pressure generating device 4. When the press-down speed is smaller than the reference speed, and when the vehicle speed is larger than the reference speed and the pressure in a connecting line 6 is larger than the reference value, the ECU 9 makes oil pressure act upon the pressure receiving part 5 in the same way. Pitching force acting upon a body at the braking time is thus used to assist braking so as to obtain an excellent braking feeling. |
