PURPOSE: To provide a thermal recording medium having excellent recording sensitivity, recording image quality and preservability of a recorded image and small skin fog. CONSTITUTION: In the thermal recording medium comprising a thermal recording layer containing leuco dye and colorant and a protective layer as required sequentially provided on a support, an uncoating layer formed by coating aqueous resin coating liquid so foamed as to mechanically have apparent specific weight of 0.1 to 0.7 and a colorant layer containing colorant are sequentially provided between the recording layer and the support. |
