PURPOSE: To produce a Konjak (paste made from the starch of devil's tongue) having various forms, especially a thin Konjak while taking advantage of the merits of extruded Konjak. CONSTITUTION: A block of a plate Konjak 1 is divided in longitudinal direction into three equal pieces and a divided Konjak piece 1a is cut with a cutter by horizontally pushing the piece directing the longer end face toward the cutter. The cutter is composed of a lateral cutter 3 having a plurality of cutting blades directed parallel to horizontal plane and parallelly arranged in vertical direction at a prescribed pitch and a longitudinal cutter 4 having plural cutting blades directed parallel to vertical plane and parallelly arranged in horizontal direction at a prescribed pitch. The lateral cutter 3 and the longitudinal cutter 4 are placed along the pushing direction of the equally divided Konjak 1a and reciprocated along the edge of each cutting blade in cutting. A noodle-shaped Konjak 1b can be produced by pushing the equally divided Konjak 1a against the cutters while reciprocating the lateral cutter 3 and the longitudinal cutter 4. |
