<p>PURPOSE: To provide a reduction gear for a motor-driven power steering gear facilitating assembly work of the reduction gear and improving work environment. CONSTITUTION: A sliding bearing 29 for rotatably supporting tip of a pinion shaft 4, and a rolling bearing 12 for rotatably supporting a carrier 27 rotated integrally with the pinion shaft 4 are provided in a case having a buttomed end and an opening for fitting an electric motor. Such a reduction gear is further provided with an inner supporting member 36 fitted to a carrier 27 in order to support an inner race member 12a of the rolling bearing 12 from the tip side of the case, step difference 37 formed at the carrier 27 in order to support the inner race member 12a of the rolling bearing 12 from the opening side of the case, step difference 38 formed in the case in order to support an outer race member 12b of the rolling bearing 12 from the tip side of the case, and an outer supporting member 39 provided at an inner peripheral surface of the case 7 in order to support the outer race member 12b of the rolling bearing 12 from the opening side of the case.</p> |
