PURPOSE: To reduce tire noise while maintaining hydraulic performance by projectingly arranging spew consisting of shaft-like bodies of sectional maximum length in a specific range on groove walls sandwiching tread grooves. CONSTITUTION: Spew 3 consisting of shaft-like bodies of sectional maximum length 0.5mm-3.0mm is arranged projectingly into a tread groove 2 on the groove walls sandwiching the tread groove 2. The tread grooves 2 include longitudinal grooves 4 extending in straight lines in the circumferential direction of a tire, and a plurality of lateral grooves 5 extending along the tire axis so as to cross with the longitudinal grooves 4, and a block pattern arranging blocks B in the circumferential direction of the tire is formed on a tread face T. Because the spew 3 is formed in this way, and protruded into the tread groove 2 from the groove walls except the groove bottom, as the height of the groove wall is reduced following to wear of the tread, it can be broken off from the groove wall, the groove volume can be prevented from remarkably reducing so as to maintain hydraulic performance, and air pumping sounds generated in the lateral grooves 5 can be reduced. |
