PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject apparatus capable of detecting and discharging impure fibers in excellent accuracy by examining fibers on the surface of an opening drum by a color sensor, discharging a small amount of fibers together with the impure fibers when the impure fibers are detected. SOLUTION: Fibers sent through a chute L to a feed roller Z are opened by needles and a saw blade on the surface of a roller W and impure fibers are detected by a color sensor S arranged in one or more lines approximately in parallel with a shaft based on the outer periphery of the roller W. A discharging device F is operated by the detection of the impure fibers to change a flap from a nondefective material A to a staining material B. |
