PURPOSE: To print by using an ink sheet for printing by using sublimable inking agent, on a plain sheet, a thermal transfer recording system using the ink sheet, of the sheet coated with the mordant material of the inking agent. CONSTITUTION: Binder on an ink sheet is transferred to a sheet P by a printer by using the binder as a dye receiving layer and the sheet coated with sublimable inking agent, then colored inking agents are sequentially transferred to the sheet P, or the binder on the ink sheet is transferred to the sheet P, and simultaneously the colored inking agents are sequentially transferred to the sheet P. In this case, switching plates 7, 9 are switched, the sheet P is alternately moved to siding passages 20, 21. The sheet P coated with a plurality of colored inking agents is heated by a heating roll pair 14 to sublimate the inking agents, and the sheet P is dyed with the dyes. |
