PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tissue adhesive useful for hemostasis, adhesion of damaged tissue and promotion of healing of wound, capable of readily using and having good storage stability by blending fibrinogen with a coagulating factor activator. SOLUTION: This tissue adhesive contains a (pro)activator of prothrombin which exists in blood, not reacting with fibrinogen, and the prothrombin content is <=5 units/g fibrinogen, preferably detection limit or below. Xa factor is preferably used as the activator and included in an amount of 0.1-1 unit per cm<3> adhesive. In addition to the activator, the adhesive contains preferably a phospholipid in a form of vesicle, XIII coagulating factor, a fibrin-dissolving inhibitor, aprotinin which is a fibrin-dissolving inhibitor or α2 -plasma inhibitor, etc. Furthermore, the adhesive is preferably formed in a shape of thin fleece having a support such as collagen. |
