PURPOSE: To provide an interior member for an air bag device to ensure rigidity necessary to an interior member and facilitation of opening of a door part during expansion of an air bag, and facilitate manufacture. CONSTITUTION: An interior member for an air bag device comprises a body 11; and a cover part 12 which is surrounded with the body 11 and with which a folded air bag 2 of an air bag device 1 is covered. The cover part 12 comprises a door part 13 with which the folded air bag 2 is covered; a break scheduled part 14 separated during expansion of the air bag 2 in such a way to recess the back side of the periphery of the door part 13; and a hinge part 15 brought into a rotation center portion of the door part 13 during breakage of the break scheduled part 14. The body 11 is formed of rigid synthetic resin and comprises a thin covering part 11b with which the surface side of the cover part 12 is covered; and a general part 11a. The cover part 12 is formed of a thermoplastic elastomer having compatibility with rigid synthetic resin of the body 11.
