PURPOSE: To obtain the subject adhesive comprising a specific silane compound, an amino group-containing trihydroxysilane, and a lower saturated carboxylic acid or an inorganic acid, good in the adhesion of fluororubbers to metals, and free from the deterioration of adhesiveness under high temperature conditions. CONSTITUTION: This aqueous vulcanizable adhesive contains (A) aγ- methacryloyloxypropyltrialkoxysilane (preferablyγ- methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane), (B) an amino group-containing trihydrixysilane (preferablyγ-aminopropyltrihydrixysilane) and (C) a lower saturated carboxylic acid (e.g. formic acid) or an inorganic acid (preferably hydrochloric acid) preferably in an A:B:C weight ratio of 100:(300:-500):(100-200). From a view point for improving adhesiveness and stability, the pH of the adhesive is controlled to 4-7 with the component C. The objective adhesive is preferably prepared as such an aqueous composition that the total amount of the components A to C occupies 1-2wt.%.
