PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise sensitivity for determining an optimal releasing pressure by supplying a given inspiratory pulse using a regulation unit according to an optimal releasing pressure of a patient and by setting the inspiratory pulse so that the ending pressure is higher than the beginning pressure. SOLUTION: A respiratory volume and pressure are determined by a gas supplying apparatus equipped with a measuring unit having a pressure gauge 10 and a flow meter 12. Signals of a releasing pressure calculated in a regulating unit 14 based on the values of the respirating gas flow and the pressure are sent to an controlling unit 2. The controlling unit is connected to a patient 4 and supplies an respirating gas to the patient so as to remove expired gas from the patient and supplies an inspiratory pulse 18 as a desired shape having a beginning pressure of PEEP level and ending pressure of PIP level. By this method, sensitivity for determining an optimal releasing pressure can be raised. |
