RECORDING MEDIUM AND INK JET RECORDING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To obtain a recording medium having excellent recording characteristics in the case of an ink jet recording and obtaining high image density by forming an ink receiving layer by mixing and dispersing specific weight ratio of resin fine particles in the continuous film of hydrophilic resin binder in the medium having the receiving layer provided on an opaque base material. CONSTITUTION: In the recording medium capable of recording in a high image density by ink jet recording, an ink receiving layer is formed by dispersing resin fine particles in the continuous film of hydrophilic resin binder and a multiple reflecting layer is provided on the surface of a base material at the side provided with the receiving layer. In this case, a sheet containing fibrous pulp and filler as main bodies is used as the opaque base material. The receiving layer is preferably prepared by mixing 20 to 100 pts.wt. of the fine particles with 100 pts.wt. of the binder. The binder is preferable at the point of performing excellent recording characteristics for various ink containing cationic modified polyvinylalcohol having various characteristics.
