PURPOSE: To produce a ground fabric useful for the economical production of a low-cost air bag having light weight and non-bulkiness, foldable in a compact form, having excellent inflation and expansion quality and heat-resistance and exhibiting high sewing strength. CONSTITUTION: This ground fabric for air bag consists of a cloth coated at least its one surface with a resin and/or a rubber at a rate of 5-35 g/m<2> and contains 5-100 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. of the resin and rubber) of a compound having particle diameter of <5μm, a dehydration initiation temperature of >=150 deg.C, a maximum endothermic temperature of <=600 deg.C and an endothermic quantity of >=150cal/g. |
