PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic recording medium capable of displaying an image by different contrasts of a magnetism applying part and non-applying part, and having excellent resolution, freshness and image stability. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic recording medium 1 comprises a visible information display unit 11 having a microcapsule 14 enclosing a dispersion medium indicating a solid state at the ambient temperature in a magnetic recording part 16 and a flaky magnetic powder 22 on a base material 2. Image information is displayed by the contrast of the reflected light obtained by the orientation of the powder 22 by the magnetic application in a horizontal or vertical direction to the layer 12 as heating, and the information is erased by the orientation of the powder 22 in the horizontal or vertical direction. The unit 11 can display the part or the entirety of the information recorded in the part 16. |
