PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a yarn high in bulkiness, resilience and elastic recovery force, useful as a carpet, a mat, a rag, etc., drawing a spun molten filament under a specific condition. SOLUTION: A poly(trimethylene terephthalate) is subjected to melt spinning, cooled and is drawn in a bundled multifilament state at 1.05 to twice draw ratio. A feed roller to a drawing zone is heated to <100 deg.C and a take-off roller is heated to 80-150 deg.C, a temperature higher than that of the feed roller. Then, the drawn yarn is drawn by a second-stage drawing at a draw ratio of at least 2.2 times that of the first stage drawing and taken up. A second take-off roller is heated to 100-200 deg.C, a temperature higher than that of the first take-off roller. Consequently, a bulk continuous filament yarn showing excellent resilience, stain resistance and dyeability with a disperse dye with a proper carrier by boiling under atmospheric pressure is obtained.
|
