PURPOSE: To develop an air bag body only when a passenger seats a seat and to announce it to a passenger whenever there is fear of an air bag body being not developed. CONSTITUTION: An air bag 18 for an assistant seat is connected to an ignition means drive circuit 19A of an air bag control circuit 19 and the ignition means drive circuit 19A is connected to an acceleration sensor 23. A passenger detection judging device 44 is disposed above the assistant seat and the passenger detection judging device 44 is connected to the air bag control circuit 19. A CPU 44B output a detecting signal 'H' when it is judged based on a detecting value of an infrared ray sensor 44A that a passenger is present. The CPU 44B is connected to an operation state confirming lamp 45 and the operation state confirming lamp 45 is lighted ON when a detecting signal 'L' and when presence or absence of a passenger on an assistant seat can not be judged. |
