<p>PURPOSE: To confirm a residual amount of paper in a tray without drawing out the tray, and to prevent becoming incapable of confirming the residual amount of paper in the tray due to a trouble or the like. CONSTITUTION: A peephole window 7, with paper visible in paper feed trays 6A, 6B respectively from the outside, is provided in a wall 6a or 6b in a front or side surface of the paper feed trays 6A and 6B of drawer type. In this way, when peeped from the peephole window 7, since a residual amount of paper P can be directly seen by an eye, an error is not generated as compared with in the case of indirectly detecting a residual amount of the paper by using a sensor or the like. When provided a shutter of concealing the peephole window and a shutter moving mechanism of making the shutter take refuge, since the shutter can be made to take refuge from a position of covering the peephole window 7 when the decreased the paper to prescribed amount, the paper P can be prevented from being tarnished yellow to be exposed for a long time to light coming in from the peephole window 7.</p> |
