A valve spring abutment for a fuel injector valve comprises an annular member 32 which encircles the lower end of two half circular collets 34 of the same diameter as member 32 and engaging the enlarged head 28 of the valve stem. The lower end of the spring 30 seats on a slotted ring 38. The valve seat 22 engages in a recess in the nozzle member 12 and a filter 18 is clamped between the body member 14 and an upper member 16 screwthreaded for attachment to the fuel pipe. The parts are enclosed by a casing 10 turned over at the upper end.</p> |
