<p>The invention relates to a power or drive system (101) for a support landing system, for example the landing legs of a trailer, which is adaptable to different drive devices and can be fitted to various trailer types. The landing legs are operable by the power system (101), which derives its pneumatic supply from the trailer pneumatic brake circuit (100). The power system (101) comprises a power pack or unit (7) - e.g. a pneumatic motor and associated control valve -, connected pneumatically in series with an air reservoir (8), a check valve (9), a manual shut off valve and a brake pressure protection valve (11). The power unit (7), or pneumatic motor, is joined to a support device on the trailer by a sliding connection, and the output of the power unit (7) to the landing gear actuator.</p> |
