A cinematographic film cassette comprising a light-tight housing (1') containing an unexposed film spool (5) and capable of containing an exposed film spool (8) after shooting. Said housing further comprises means for positioning the spools (5, 8) and the film so that, in the use position in a receiving device connected to a filming camera, no moving part located inside the housing (1') and contacting the film is in contact with a fixed part of the housing (1'), with the film itself not contacting any fixed part of the housing (1').
