The radome is placed over the antenna and is made up of an upper conical section (4) and two lower truncated conical sections (5,6). The upper conical section would typically have a base angle of 40 degrees, whilst the middle section has a base angle of 50 degrees and the lower section has a base angle of 60 degrees. Thus the surface consists of a number of facets.
