Insulation layer contg. buckwheat husks

Thermal insulation is provided by a layer of buckwheat husks. Pref. several layers are bonded together with an adhesive binder and the husks are formed into a body with predetermined outer contour determined by casing into which the husks are poured. The casing is provided between roof rafters or in house walls and may be in the form of plastic bags with separators. A pref. arrangement comprises upper and lower textile webs, between which the husks are placed to form a mat which is rolled into a cylinder.
