Method of machining stub weld seams for coils, esp. saw belts

The method involves using a milling device (1), a grinding device (2), two burr milling devices (3,4) and a coil feed device (7, 8), in the running direction of the coil (5). In the milling device, the weld beads on both sides of the coil are ground down to a flat base, which is then ground down in the grinding device. One milling device (3) removes the burrs from the back of the coil, and the other milling device (4) removes the burrs in the tooth gaps. The milling device (4) has a sensor which runs along a template curve or another tooth gap.
