The said control has a circuit arrangement (16) in which an output signal (AS) by means of which the switching characteristic lines are matched to the load state is produced by means of an evaluation of the power output speed (nab) of the transmission or of a variable which has the same value as the said speed, the said evaluation being carried out at successive time intervals.
