A chain for the transportation of bulk goods in mining or tunnel construction comprises of interlinked vertical and horizontal chain elements, which are connected to spaced cams and pivot about a vertical linkage. The chain elements have a forked and a cam-shaped coupling endpiece, which form one sub-assembly and which are equipped with boreholes displaced at 90 degrees to each other, for the location of connecting bolts.
