Toll system for road vehicles based upon sensing bar code markings
摘要
A toll system uses measurements that are based directly upon markings ME1-MEn on the road surface. The markings are at set intervals and are in the form of bar codings. The sensor system installed in the road vehicle is in the form of a transmitter that outputs an emission in the ultra violet to infra red frequency range 250 to 850 nm wavelength that is reflected back from the coding to receivers in the vehicle. The receiver in the vehicle has an account processing circuit and memory chip card 7 contg. tariff rates.
