Electric safety device for gas or electric cooking oven or hob

The safety device has sensors (13,15,17,18-21,22) positioned above the oven or hob for detecting smoke and monitoring the temp. The sensor signals are fed to an evaluation stage (24) for operation of an electric cut-out switch or an electromagnetic blocking valve for the oven or hob. The evaluation stage has a resetting input (11) for manual resetting upon disconnection of the energy supply to the oven or hob, with automatic resetting after a defined time interval.
