Grey pigments (I) contg. Sn are claimed, which are obtd. by pyrolysis of substrates coated with SnO2 and other metal oxide(s) and colloidal organic particles (II) at 900-110 deg C, with exclusion of O2. Also claimed are a method of producing (I) and formulations contg. (I). Pref. (I) contains 0.01-10 wt.% Sn w.r.t. total pigment. A flaky substrate is used, esp. mica, glass, BaSO4, SiO2 or synthetic ceramic flakes or mica flakes coated with metal oxide(s). (II) consist of starch, cellulose, gelatin, dextrin or their derivs.. |
