Coupling insulator with head-side HV- or MV-terminal e.g. for electrical components

A coupling insulator has an HV or MV terminal on the head, with a condenser inside. There is a central recess in the foot with a detachable switching element, joined on one side to the terminal and on the other side to earth. By the foot is an electrically conducting mounting and an electrical conductor leading out from the recess. The conductor is radially exposed to the outside in the sleeve of the insulating body. The mounting is above it and overlaps it. The switch element is an overvoltage shunt which is joined electrically to the mounting. The overvoltage shunt supports a pre-tensioned electrically conducting spring which sits on an earthed plug at the bottom.
