Trackside train end detection method for safety railway signalling

摘要

The method involves use of trackside sensors, detecting the wheel axles of each passing train at a number of count points, coupled to a common evaluation device. The evaluation device has a respective register (R1,...R4) for each train (E1,...E4), in which the corresponding count value (N1,...N4) recorded at each count point is logged. A signal is supplied indicating the passage of the end of the train at each count point, when the received count value from this count point corresponds to the count value from the preceding count point, in the travel direction of the train.
