摘要 The method involves measuring the distance from objects in a monitored region lying in one plane to the monitoring device using a transmitted beam, whereby the distance values for the profile of a reference object are stored in the monitoring device as desired values. The method uses three opto-electronic distance sensors and one ultrasonic sensor. The desired values are obtained by moving the reference object wrt. the monitoring region of a second monitoring device in a second plane so that the object passes the second plane along a defined path. During this motion the projection of the reference object contour onto the plane of the second monitoring device is detected and stored in the first monitoring device as the profile of the first monitoring region.
