The invention relates to a pontoon bridge, which comprises at least two pontoons 1, having coupling shoes 2 at the ends, and a coupling construction, disposed between successive pontoons 1, for linking the pontoons, which coupling construction comprises a coupling sleeve 3 disposed between the coupling shoes 2 of the successive pontoons. In order to prevent the coupling shoes being exposed to tensile stresses, the coupling construction further comprises a structure 5, such as a rod, a steel cable, chain or equivalent, which runs from end to end in the longitudinal direction of the pontoon 1 and uses elastic members 4 to brace the coupling sleeves 3 at opposite ends of the pontoon against the coupling shoes 2. <IMAGE>
