<p>A revolving security door (1) for the controlled passage of persons from a non-protected environment (2) to a protected environment (3), for example a bank, which permits the normal transit of persons even in the event of the interception of an unwelcome person, including a cylindrical chamber (5) formed inside a structure (4), a turnstile (6) rotatable within the chamber (5) in a predetermined sense of rotation and having sectors (9) each for accommodating a person, an entry aperture (10) and an exit aperture (11) formed in the structure (4), a sensor (12) associated with the structure (4) for detecting an unwelcome person or object and for emitting an alarm signal, an emergency door (13) associated with the exit aperture (11) and activated to close by the said alarm signal, the said door (13) comprising a first panel (14) and a second panel (15) which are held together and made to rotate in the opposite sense of rotation from that of the turnstile (6), after the door (13) has been closed by the first panel (14) and before the door (13) is opened by the opening of both panels (14, 15). <IMAGE></p> |
