Machine consisting essentially of a lifting structure A and of a rectangular structure B in which are coupled a hydraulic cylinder with rack, the reduction gearbox and the cutting arm C, consisting of the arm and of the saws actuated by a hydraulic motor. The transition is totally hydraulic and, in addition to allowing the implementation of all the operations from the tractor's driving seat, reduces the risks inherent in use to the operator (such as, for example, preventing knocking over by the power take-off, the cause of countless accidents). Cutting of the silage is clean, precise and rapid, ensuring the maintenance of the anaerobic conditions of the silo, an essential factor in the preservation of the fodder (feed). The block of silage can then be stored for a number of days in barns, without loss and without contamination. <IMAGE>
