The present invention provides a trisazo dye represented by the formula (I) wherein A is a phenyl group substituted with at least one substituent selected from an amino group, a substituted amino group and a hydroxyl group, B is a substituted or non-substituted phenyl group, X is a group of the formula: Q is a group of the formula: (wherein n is 1 or 2), and M is hydrogen, alkali metal, aliphatic alkyl ammonium or alkanol ammonium . An aqueous ink composition and a process for the producing a concentrated solution containing the trisazo dye are also disclosed.
