SUBSTANCE: method involves rolling billets in first oval or rhombic pass in flat position; bending front end of profile by abutting profile during stroke against vertical baffle turned towards second pass and joined with its smoothly curved arc to profile motion plane; tilting profile through 90 deg; holding profile in this position on edge while rolling it in opposite direction in second pass. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and improved quality of rolled product. |
