The electronic computer has a printed circuit board (12) carrying several electronic components (13) carried on support plates (11). A connector (14) at one edge of the computer allows connection to the external devices. The circuit board is enclosed (15) in a synthetic material applied after the components have been assembled. The synthetic material is chosen to have good thermal properties so it cools the electronic components and also to have good mechanical properties, so it provides mechanical protection for the circuit. The enclosure is sealed to isolate the components from the environment. Cooling is aided by forming recesses (16) in the enclosing layer immediately above components, the reduced thickness of material aiding heat removal.
