A paint composition comprising particles having a core/shell structure each comprising a core having Tg of 20 DEG C or below, the core being covered at least partially with a shell having Tg of 40 DEG C or above, and said shell having no glycidyl group. The paint composition is excellent in weather resistance as well as in impact resistance and chipping resistance. The coating contains these particles dispersed in an interpenetrating network structure and/or a three-dimensional crosslinked network structure.
